October 30, 2016 WIRED Meeting – Mashups

We are looking forward to our first WIRED inservice of the new academic year with all the new staff.  We have a great agenda in store for you looking at the R [Redefinition] of the SAMR model and how to use Mashups to create amazing products for our students and how our students can use multiple tools to help them achieve their learning goals and those that require advanced thinking skills.  First we will look at literacy and how to use tools like Destiny Quest and Scholastic Reader in combination with classroom tools in order to create a student-centric reading list matched to the student Lexile and reading levels.  We will then move into the Mashup of the Epic Series and Thinglink and Seesaw integrated with online illustrative timelines [that can be used for more than the typical historical timelines].  After an amazing two-days of inservice and the wonderful new learning your brought to the teaching staff, I am eager to read what your feedback will be after our session and in the weeks to come as we move into our Hack session.
